MY COLUMN: Remembering Jim Rogers
“Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.” Jim Rogers said that a lot. He thought much of what he heard was nonsense. He had no patience for it. Come to think of it, he had no patience for…..anything. Rogers, the media kingpin and education advocate who died last week, invited clichés: Force of nature. Man of action. Eccentric rich guy.

In an effort targeting Las Vegas' largest developer, a major labor group says it will file a ballot initiative preventing Clark County from subsidizing a proposed Summerlin minor-league baseball stadium.

State med board to docs: We won't stop you from getting into med pot business, but enter at your own risk
The state Board of Medical Examiners has issued an advisory opinion to licensed doctors who get into the medical marijuana business that says they enter "at their own legal peril." No prohibition from entering the business from the board, but plenty of trap doors outlined in the opinion: Violations of federal law, and possible discipline for failing to disclose salient information to patients.
