Where does Harry Reid draw the line? My column about Reid and his Mitt Romney tax attack that was killed
Now that CNN's Dana Bash has found Harry Reid to be unrepentant about his Mitt Romney tax lies, it's finally time to publish a column I wrote contemporaneously with the Nevada senator's McCarthy-like tactic during the 2012 campaign. The column was never published because Las Vegas Sun Editor Brian Greenspun attempted to protect his friend, Reid, from the criticism. I never wrote for the Sun again. ----
Who really beat up Harry Reid?
If you are one of the reflexive haters or conspiracy theorists who don’t believe Harry Reid had his face bashed in by an exercise band, even though there is not a scintilla of evidence to say otherwise, here are the top 10 more plausible suspects than castoffs from "The Sopranos" -- these people actually had motives:
Early voting totals show.....zzzzzz
In Las Vegas, where theoretically there is a contested mayoral race, just under 15,000 people have voted through Sunday. That's nine days of early voting, and turnout is at 6 percent. People clearly cannot contain their excitement at the Carolyn Goodman/Stavros Anthony matchup. Alas, the scheduled "Ralston Live" debate on Friday had to be canceled because of Harry Reid's retirement announcement. And Team Goodman delcined to do it tonight, even though that date was her campaign's original choice.
Sorry, Michele and the Bundyvilles: Your latest is illegal
When Michele Fiore hosts her pals from Bundyville on Tuesday, they will be there for a bill that is patently unconstitutional. That's the finding, attached here, of a Legislative Counsel Bureau opinion on AB 408, which is some lame attempt to TAKE BACK OUR LANDS. The opinion explains that, contrary to what federal scofflaws Fiore and Bundy may think, the law does matter. To wit:

Their own polling shows he is fine. But Gov. Brian Sandoval and his men are taking no chances with the recall effort directed at Speaker John Hambrick.

Bundy folks plan one-year celebration of raid on outlaw rancher
The Cliven Bundy Gang is planning a celebration of the one-year anniversary of the botched BLM raid on the rancher who owes the federal government a fortune in grazing fees. The CBG has even invited Clark County commissioners to what they are calling the "Bundy Ranch Freedom Reunion" on April 10-11. The invite, attached here, is signed "We the People of the Sovereign State of Nevada," and the flyer has all kinds of sovereign state rhetoric.
